— Engagement 02
AI Workflow Buildout.
Production tools embedded where the day already runs. Capacity, not theater.
What it is
A paid, scoped build engagement, and usually the move the diagnostic picks. The premise is simple: most operations are bending around software that was never built for them, and paying dearly for the privilege. The buildout puts tools inside the actual workflow, shaped to how the operation sells, fulfills, renews, and reports, and judged by one question: does it move the number?
What I actually build
- Proposal systems: guided intake to clean document, with the pricing logic inside
- Research and competitive intelligence workflows that compress a cycle from days to hours
- Renewal and retention motion: the calendar, the signals, the thirty-day call
- Client reporting that writes its own first draft, in plain English
- Forecasting and pipeline discipline leadership can actually plan against
- Account planning and margin governance that surface the truth by line
Build, buy, or partner
Every system in the way gets one of three calls, and knowing which is appropriate is most of the win. Build when the workflow is your edge, or when off-the-shelf software forces the operation to contort: bespoke is now affordable, and purpose-built is the part that matters. Buy when the problem is a commodity somebody already solved properly: accounting, email infrastructure, the things that are nobody’s edge. Partner when someone else already runs it better than you could build it, including the publishers down the road, because shared plumbing beats duplicated cost. The call isn’t made from the outside: twenty years in this industry means the recommendation arrives with names attached, not a category to go research.
— Before
- 1.Seller asks for a custom package
- 2.A manager builds it by hand
- 3.The pricing logic lives in someone's head
- 4.Operations reworks the order
- 5.The client gets three versions
- 6.Renewal risk is born on day one
— After
- 1.Guided intake
- 2.Recommended package, approved pricing
- 3.Clean proposal out the door
- 4.Order hands off without rework
- 5.Renewal trigger set the day it closes
Not a fit
I’m not the right partner if what you want is a generic AI training, a motivational workshop, a software reseller, or a deck with no implementation path. And the buildout specifically isn’t a fit if you want the tool without the workflow change: software bolted onto a broken process is a faster broken process.
How it runs
Same path as everything here. The readiness check is self-serve, the conversation is a fit check rather than free consulting, and the engagement is scoped and quoted before it starts. Most buildouts begin where the diagnostic pointed.
